The Jubilee Company announces a major investment programme

Busch-Hungária, Hungary’s one of the largest iron foundry, has launched a new three-year strategic investment cycle to mark the 15th anniversary of its founding. The improvements will further increase the iron foundry’s production capacity and efficiency, while the infrastructure renewal aims to make the Győr plant more energy and cost efficient.

For fifteen years, Busch-Hungária has been developing its foundry in Győr, which has a tradition of more than 110 years through Rába, an iconic company in the history of Hungarian industry. The plant was taken over by the German BPW Group company in 2007 and has been able to emerge from a period of industrial restructuring in the 1990s to the international forefront of metal production through continuous investment. Today, Hungary’s largest iron foundry is a partner of leading companies in the heavy vehicle industry and a major player in the European iron foundry market.

“Busch-Hungária has evolved from an old-style company into a successful, modern industrial player that responds flexibly to market needs. Thanks to the implementation of our consistent investment and business development strategy, our organisational culture and the renewal of our operations, we have been able to grow in the rapidly changing economic environment of recent years. To sustain this growth, we have launched a new complex investment programme until 2025, which will increase the productivity of Hungary’s largest iron foundry through significant infrastructure modernisation and innovative solutions,” said Dávid Hegymegi, CEO of Busch-Hungária.

For example, the casting cleaning section of the plant and the improvement of the logistics infrastructure and processes will be key investments in the coming years. In the cleaning plant, the company is taking significant steps to increase productivity and recycle the materials used in cleaning, among other things. The planned renovation and expansion of the logistics area, which covers several thousand square metres, will improve operational efficiency through the optimisation and digitalisation of plant processes.

“Hungary’s largest iron foundry is once again recognised as one of Europe’s leading foundries, we are trusted by global companies to deliver automotive innovations, and Busch-Hungária is up to the challenge. This is a great source of pride and professional recognition for all our employees. On the 15th anniversary of our founding, we thank our colleagues for their commitment to continuous improvement, their indispensable role in the renewal of our company and in achieving record results,” added Dávid Hegymegi.
