Busch-Hungária is the main sponsor of this year’s tree planting
The city of Győr is committed to environmental protection and every year it carries out a major tree planting programme. In 2022, Busch-Hungária joined in this effort by supporting the planting of 65 saplings to commemorate the 15th anniversary of its foundation.
“Planting every tree is another important step we can take today for the benefit of the generations growing up. And our company combines the values of the past and the future in the spirit of innovation and tradition, which is why we decided to support the development of Győr’s green environment by planting 65 maple trees to celebrate the anniversary of our foundation. We are delighted to contribute to the expansion of the Marcalváros park, which will provide an even larger area for recreation and sport for the inhabitants of our city in the future. As a modern industrial company, an employer and a responsible member of the community, Busch-Hungária strives to create lasting value. Our support for the Green Győr programme reflects this commitment,” said Dávid Hegymegi, Managing Director of Busch-Hungária, on the occasion of the planting.
In line with tradition, the Mayor of Győr, Dr. Csaba András Dézsi, together with the leaders of the Municipality of Győr, planted the saplings on 8 November 2022 at Győrkőc Liget, where Dávid Hegymegi, Busch-Hungária’s representative, also participated. This year, 78 new trees were planted in Győrkőc Liget, 40 columnar maples symbolizing the boys born in the city this year and 38 spherical maples symbolizing the girls’ children. Most of the saplings were sponsored by Busch-Hungária, Hungary’s largest iron foundry.
