TISAX certification confirms Busch-Hungária’s information security compliance.

Busch-Hungária has successfully passed the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX), an information security requirements framework for the automotive industry.

“At Busch-Hungária, we recognise that information security is of paramount importance to our customers. Achieving TISAX certification demonstrates our commitment to the highest level of Information Security Management System (ISMS),” said Dávid Hegymegi, Managing Director of Busch-Hungária.

The TISAX certificate, created by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and Volkswagen in 2017, ensures uniform information security requirements in the automotive supply chain. Based on ISO/IEC 27001 (information security management systems) and ISO/IEC 27002 (information security audits), the certificate includes criteria for assessing the information security of automotive supply chain organisations, as well as additional requirements. TISAX certification is widely recognised by European car manufacturers and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for the protection of critical data and assets.

In 2022, Busch-Hungária set the strategic goal of aligning its IT operating principles and secure data management expectations with industry standards, for which the TISAX assessment system provided the appropriate framework. The company concluded a ten-month improvement process covering all areas and the entire operation with a successful audit in January 2024. During the process, the company streamlined its processes and centralised some areas of its operations.
